Don’t let Bruce’s humble demeanour fool you, he started fly fishing well over 50 years ago and when it comes to paying attention to what the fish are eating, tying flies to match, and out-fishing pretty much everyone on the river, no one does it better than Bruce Fyfe.
Bruce Fyfe grew up on Vancouver Island with a hunting rifle in one hand and a fishing rod in the other. Bruce is an avid outdoorsmen learning how to live off the land at a young age. His great personality and unnatural ability to catch fish led to a long carrier in guiding for salmon and steelhead.
I call him Uncle Bruce and he’s the one that taught me to fly fish and the importance of tying my own flies. He’s an avid outdoorsman, a wonderful teacher, and a masterful fly fishermen.
