I was "hooked" on fishing at a very young age. This passion for fishing led to a 35 year career as a fisheries biologist managing the famous Stillwater trout fisheries of the southern interior region of BC. I have been a passionate fly fisher 40 plus years and have written many magazine articles, several books and produced numerous how to videos on lake fly fishing and fly tying. I am a co-host of the TV show "Sport Fishing on the Fly" as well as the owner of Riseform Flyfishing Ventures guide service.

Favourite type of fly fishing?
Favourite holiday destination?
Anywhere in BC as this province is home to some of the best fly fishing locations and fisheries resources in the world
Favourite fishing memory?
My first trout which I caught when I was 8 yrs old. Fishing with a bobber and worms on a spinning rod setup from shore at Deer Lake in Burnaby, BC on a rainy, late November morning. My dad sat in the car reading the newspaper while my fishing buddy and I stood on the beach watching our red and white plastic bobbers floating in a sea of raindrops. Then it happened, my bobber dove down and I had my first trout which I kept and had my mom cook up. That first bobber down is permanently etched in my mind!
